Child abuse and neglect is a tragedy that should not occur. Preventing child abuse is the responsibility of the entire community. We kick off the school year with Jump Start for School Success. This event is perfect for school professionals and parents who want to have courageous conversations and gain insights on how to set their students up for success. LEAP Ahead STL
Our LEAP (Learning Everything at Pace) Ahead Cohort helps unite the St. Louis region for early childhood care providers providing Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) screenings in one database to further collaborative action for young children. VCR provides training and technical assistance to all members. Learn more here.
Missouri 988 Toolkit
Behavioral Health Response (BHR) and 988 offer 24/7 services through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. This Guide for Schools was created by the Missouri Suicide Prevention Network to help school personnel implement suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention resources into their practices. Whether you are working in a school or working alongside youth in other settings, this is an important tool. Access the toolkit here.
Parents & Children Together St. Louis (PACT-STL) Collaborative
Parents & Children Together-St. Louis (PACT-STL) is a five-year grant from the Administration on Children, Youth and Families. We are working to prevent child maltreatment, reduce entry into the child welfare system, and enhance the overall well-being of families. Join our collaborative and help guide the work. St. Louis Child Abuse & Neglect Network (STLCANN)
STLCANN is an initiative of VCR focused on improving the lives of children and families who have been impacted by abuse or neglect and working to strengthen families to prevent child abuse and neglect. Every year we join with partners to host the Legislative Wrap-Up in June, learning about the past legislative session and how we can work together to further support children and families. System of Care (SOC)/Project LAUNCH Council
The Joint System of Care (SOC) and Project LAUNCH Council provides a platform for parents and providers in the St. Louis community to come together to better coordinate and collaborate region-wide on issues concerning families and mental health across multiple systems. Connected 2 Services & Supports
Family Mentor Program
Any family with an open hotline case through Children’s Division is eligible for access to free Family Mentor services. VCR has Family Engagement Specialists ready to walk alongside families. They bring their own lived experiences of navigating Children’s Division and serve as an advocate and support to families. Contact Yolanda West at ywest@visionforchildren.org to learn more.
Family Support Services
Our Family Support Program is dedicated to providing peer support. We are here to walk alongside you as you navigate parenting and accessing supports for your family. Our Family Support Team brings lived experience to their roles, and they understand the complexities of life while trusting you as the expert on your family. Learn more here.
Resource Advocate
LIFT MO aims to connect families enrolled in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program to a resource advocate (navigator/wayfinder) to help enable, empower, and assist them to access and navigate necessary resources to help them in their journey. Critical Case Staffing

Connected 2 Trainings
Ages & Stages Questionnaires
Project LAUNCH provides training and technical assistance for organizations who want to provide high quality developmental trainings via the Ages and Stages Questionnaire. Training and support are provided for both the ASQ-3 (Broad Developmental Domains) and the ASQ-SE (Social-Emotional Focus). Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
“Mental Health First Aid® is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over. St. Louis Child Abuse & Neglect Network (STLCANN) Quarterly Training
