VCR Director Rich Patton gave a presentation on the state of child well-being in the St. Louis area to a recent meeting of the Ferguson Commission. The slides illustrate the wide disparities in child well-being across the region, along with VCR’s overall view of the issue and the strategic approach that should be taken to address it. Over 400 people from across the state participated in Child Advocacy Day on April 1. Participants chose workshops in the morning to hone their advocacy skills, marched to the Capitol for a rally and award ceremony. Then advocates stormed the offices of their Representatives and Senators.
