Promoting Quality Voluntary Pre-K: National Telecast

As part of its 2008 national conference, Pre-K Now is presenting a special "Viewing Event" to engage local audiences across the country in a strategic discussion about how to increase families' access to quality voluntary pre-k. The local event will take place on Wednesday, December 10 at 11:30 AM CST. The conference will feature advocacy and implementation strategies on professional development, collaboration between early childhood programs, and more. A special segment this year will preview the opportunities to support quality Pre-K when the new President and Congress take office.

WHERE: KETC - Channel 9 Studios, 3655 Olive Street Lunch will be served.

In St. Louis, the viewing event will be sponsored by St. Louis Children's Agenda Partners including:

  • Child Day Care Association
  • Citizens for Missouri's Children
  • KETC - Channel 9
  • Office of the Mayor - City of St. Louis
  • Parents as Teachers National Center
  • Vision for Children at Risk  

Due to the capacity of the KETC studio, participation will be limited to the first 100 registrants.
