In Missouri, broad legislative advocacy on behalf of children has been carried out for the Kansas City metro area by the Partnership for Children. Citizen's for Missouri's Children had been the primary statewide child advocacy organization until its closure in June of 2010. In an attempt to mitigate the loss of this key organization, efforts are now underway to develop a vehicle for conducting multi-issue child advocacy statewide.
